Looking for a good solution for my telekom receiver I found the power-Lan kit from Linksys. Since I already have a Cisco router (Linksys EA4500 N900) was in operation, I did not even involve a manufacturer. Linksys PLWK400 is no longer a brand new product, but it does certainly not less interesting. Design and functionality

Generally speaking, Linksys PLWK400 a great purchase, it works exactly as it should, gives excellent performance, is stable in use and the price is reasonable – only appeal is not really software, it could be made more user friendly, for we know that Linksys can determine from their routers.

Quick and easy installation

I have the 85 Mbit/s Powerline Network Adapter set XTEB 1001 gained from Netgear.

The package contains 2 pieces XET 1001 network adapters including network cables, CD and installation guide.

From unpacking the ingredients to call the first website went 10 minutes!

Simple may not be a network installation.

The software on the CD you only need if you want to change the password or powerline device password.

Three LEDs indicate on each respective network adapter connection status.

Unfortunately there are no indications of the manufacturer to the power consumption of the devices. If ever interesting to consider how many watts the two adapters, because they actually ever sit in the socket.

A measurement of the download and upload speed (here DSL200) before and after network installation resulted in a 2-4 percent reduction in speeds. From a purely subjective one does not notice that. Various network and environmental factors, such as of network traffic, but also the technical characteristics of the environment (cable length, fused circuit, etc.) can reduce the throughput. So quiet time to try another outlet if it does not achieve satisfactory speeds.
